This is a cover redesign for J. R. R. Tolkiens' book The Hobbit. It includes several elements that allude to the story, from the big, unmistakable dragon Smaug to small details like the Elvish "o" vowel symbol inside both instances of the title, the word "door" in runes on the door of the mountain, and the alternative title on the back of the dragon also written fully in Dwarvish runes and highlighting "The Hobbit", "Bilbo Baggins" and "J. R. R. Tolkien".

The design is made so that the title written inside the mountain, as well as Tolkien's seal, his name and the door, will later end up on the spine of the book, and also so the dragon looks to be surrounding not only the mountain but the book itself, as if it were part of its treasured hoard of gold, too.
